Paracox®-5

Paracox-5 is a translucent, aqueous suspension of oocysts derived from five precocious lines of coccidia, presented as a live, attenuated oral vaccine.

Paracox-5 is used for the active immunization of broiler chickens to reduce infection and clinical signs of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria acervulina, E. maxima, E. mitis and E. tenella. Immunity begins to develop within 14 days post vaccination and is maintained for at least 40 days post vaccination.

The nominal dose is 0.004 ml per chicken. Each 4 ml container will provide sufficient vaccine for 1,000 chickens and each 20 ml container will provide sufficient vaccine for 5,000 chickens. A single dose of vaccine is administered to chickens at day-old via feed or at 3 days old via water. It may also be administered by spray cabinet.
