Coccivac®-B

Coccivac-B is a live coccidiosis vaccine for healthy chickens that can be used as an aid in preventing performance losses or mortality due to coccidiosis.

The vaccine provides a controlled, balanced dose of the leading coccidia organisms in broilers — Eimeria acervulina, E. mivati, E. maxima and E. tenella — which stimulate the bird’s natural immune system. Rigorous quality-control measures in manufacturing assure that Coccivac-B vaccine is free of contaminants such as Salmonella species.

When properly administered, Coccivac-B protects birds for the entire broiler cycle, reducing the risk of late outbreaks. Coccivac-B also eliminates the undesirable side effects of some in-feed anticoccidials, as well as the risk of toxicity in non-target species.

Because resistance is not a concern with vaccination, Coccivac-B also puts an end to rotation and shuttle programs that can complicate feed programs and feed-mill procedures.

Furthermore, Coccivac-B gives producers the opportunity to eliminate in-feed medications from their program, produce a value-added product and meet growing consumer demand for drug-birds. Without medications in the feed, producers can also be more flexible when marketing their birds.
